EVENT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

 

Elliott Events is currently seeking a part-time Event Operations Assistant. This entry-level position is an opportunity to get hands-on experience in all aspects of wedding, event and balloon design while assisting the master designers at Elliott Events. The ideal candidate is looking for experience in an exciting and artistic field, as well as the chance to join a team of some of the most talented event designers in Nashville.

 

Job Description:

 

Event set up of decor and equipment

Assist in creating balloon designs including: arches, backdrops, garlands and floral add-ons

Assist Lead Designers

Processing Flowers/Plants (watering, cleaning)

Set tables/break down tables

Cleaning containers, decor. glass, etc.

Setting up wedding/event decor

Making boutonnieres, corsages and centerpieces

Assist Lead Florist in large installations

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the studio

Event breakdown and clean up (Cleaning of glassware, vessels and etc)

Loading & unloading of event supplies into company truck, venue, office, etc

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Passion for events and delivering a magical experience for each and every client

Excellent verbal communication and listening skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Works positively in a team environment

Ability to lift 50 pounds (carriers full of arrangements, cases of vases, candles, etc)

Ability to work on feet for 10+ hours if needed

Ability to work outdoors in varying temperature and weather conditions

Comfortable on a ladder during installations

Self-sufficient and motivated

Availability to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts including evenings & weekends

Reliable transportation

Clean driving record

 

Weekday opportunities:

 

Inventory and restocking

Unpacking floral deliveries

Prepping flowers*

Prepping balloons*

*including assembly for the upcoming weekend.

 

Growth opportunities available! We love training our part-time assistants to learn how to design and plan events too. The right candidate will have the opportunity to move full-time as your skills and our business grows.

Job Type: part-time/independent contractor with option to go full-time for the right candidate

 

Pay: Based on experience. Starting at $12 per hour with option for pay raise for the right candidate
